Malaysia should put the haze into the Guiness World Records or Malaysian Book of Records with KL being the capital of haze at nmore than 500 API. Let another city try to beat that.
Every year it's the same old story. Malaysians never learn. If Malaysia knows that forest fires in Sumatra is the culprit then Malaysia should make arrangemenst with Indonesia to ensure next year forest fires are handled differently.
US especially California suffers from forest fires every summer but the US Department of Forest and the Fire department are equipped with air tankers aircrafts and helicopters to fight the fires.

Well, today was quite ok after a 3 hour of battlefiled 2 online in the morning then going to cloudland. I should have wake up at 4pm to meet my gf but end up forgot to set the alarm clock and miss the time. By the time i woke up, holycow is aready *5pm++ So i rang her and she seem a bit upset there i have foretime & does not arrive the place on time guy.

Actually, we did not set a time to meet up and we did not know what the exact time to meet up. She will be off work around 3pm to 6pm depand on her work load..

Today i just hear the news they are going to increse their price of Cable TV! I just got a phone call from Starhub MaxOnline Customer Service people. As i wanted to upgrade my MaxOnline 2000 to MaxOnline Ultimate.

Which is freaking fast or 30 Meg Internet line.. I hope it will lag when i play Asia Battlefiled ranked servers.. I wish the fucking ping is like 10 to 50 ping to me, when i playing overseas server.. Anyway just they dont lag can liao..

If you are playing FPS online game you need a good PC and good internet connection or else you will be frag by other people who have a higher internet speed then you.

As for cable TV wise i aredy cancel few month ago and i feel the cable TV is having repeated programe and as for Digital TV.. NahhhHh.. You are paying like SGD 30 - 50 for cable TV and ask yourself. How many time you watch your cable tv channel? Why wait where you can download the Drama, Movies, Musice online and let the Bit Torent run for 24 Hours!! Hello you are paying SGD 58 per mth for a 2 meg unlimted internet line way waste the money where you just surf the net..

Is 12AM now. I am at the office of Unilever Singapore Pte Ltd is emty and only fill with laptop to restoore and upgrade to WinXP Service pack 2 over their network.

Is very borning now and online bbc radio 1 to listen to will keep me awake through the morning until 7am. I wonder if there any extra wage fee for night shift. I going to find out tormorrow..

My experience to Singapore National Day 2005 @ Yishun

I just want to share my experince to celebrate Singapore 40th birthday within a stone throw away venue with your grassroots leader. But i will like to say my slipper eat more mud due to the slight rain during the morning.. My Feet was cover with mud and end up asking the SAF fitness instructor for New Water (Singapore National Recycle Water). Is not just my foot eating mud and dirt also with my gf sister's daughter. She only 9 year old i guess.

The weather was freaking HOT until around 5pm plus. Well it was damm pack and hot and fill to capacity by 7pm. Where Singaporean are the most Kiasu to book a fav spot to park there for viewing of firework lor!

7PM: all guest inculde the big shot VIP, PM & Singapore President arrive. You got those church stand and sit stuff of singing National songs, which is normal as usual.

8PM: You got the so call Singapore Wave from Padang, Marina South , Tampines, Yishun and Jurong then all the way back to Padang.. As what The New Age Jedi said "Kallang Wave already damn nice already, they wanted to do a Singapore Wave"

Around 8:30pm: The most exciting part of the event where you get you see Sinagpore Tax payer $$$$$ of fireworks. I think the low firework at the heartland is better then you see in the Padang due to the fact which is closer to you.

9PM: Time to go home where those Idol or celebrate follower/fan-es (read as Fans) will listen to HK Singer like Twins & etc.. To hold the crowd to stay on to party! You have to understand the fact today is Tuesday. Most of people need to study or work on wensday.

9:05PM: On my way back home. As i was walking toward Yishun MRT! It was FREAKING crowded with people on the way back home.. Lots of TP control the traffic and Police carry MP5 on patrol scare or bomb attack!! People was pushing each oter as we are on the way toward Yishun MRT. If you as me, What i want Singapore to Be? I will say i wish they can control the traffic flow of people on the way back home in the next NDP.

Do you think swiming the English Channel is Easy wait until you read this!!

Q. Why is the English Channel the top open water swim and such a hard swim?
A.There are a lot of factors that combine to make the swim hard.
The English Channel is approximately -19 nautical miles (38000 yards) or 35 kilometres (35000 mtrs) - wide at its narrowest point (Shakespeare Beach, Dover to Cap Gris Nez, France). Most swims are a little longer to the land on either side.
The Tides are strong and change direction approximately every 6 hours.
They flow to the North East from about 1.5 hours before high water to about 4.5 hours after high water (Flood tide) - then turn and flow South West from 4.5 hours after high water to 1.5 hours before high water (Ebb tide). These tides can flow at up to 4 nautical miles per hour. The tide gets later every day by about 1 hour and change in height and flow speed every day. The lowest flow/ height range is known as the NEAP TIDES and is the time most swimmers try to swim. The highest flow/height range is the SPRING TIDES and require calm weather and good piloting for swims to be successful. (Good spring tide swims are usually a little faster the neap swims but require a lot more planning an skill from the pilot). See the channel chart on the navigation page.
The wind and the weather are an unknown quantity and the forecasts are only approximate. The Dover Straits are prone to local weather conditions that can vary considerably from that which is forecast and the weather can change very quickly (15/20 mins). When you combined wind and tide you can have some very sudden changes in sea conditions.
Wind and tide together give a flatter sea that is "long" and more settled than wind against tide. Wind against tide creates a "short" confused sea. The stronger the wind and tide the rougher the sea gets, (remember that the tide changes direction every 6 hours)
There are over 600 commercial ship movements a day in the traffic separation zone, (which is about the middle 9 nautical miles). To go from England to France you have to swim across the shipping lanes (at 90°T to the traffic) and it is the pilots job to stay out of the path of the commercial vessels. There are also 80 to 100 ferry crossings between Dover and Calais every 24 hours. It's very busy.
Put all these things together, include a large portion of mental tension, note that everything is "approximate" or "about" and you have the worlds hardset swims -- "The Everest of open water swimming". The success rate each season is usually less than 50% for solo swims.

I think Singaporean swimmer Thum Ping Tjin is swimming with a group of people.. It will be best for solo swim for more advance level of swimming.. When i saw on the newpaper today that he was the thinnest swimmer of all.. I think he can held a record of the "The Thinnest English Channel Swimmer"

Promoting Your Blog

In chess, promotion occurs when a pawn reaches the eighth square. At that point, your opponent is challenged because this simple pawn takes on all the powers of a Queen—the deadliest piece on the board. Of course, the pawn may be promoted to bishop, rook, or any other piece but why? This only clues the other player in to your secret plans. That being said, however, promotions to knight can often be strategically useful depending on the situation.

What the beelzebub am I talking about? Let's not get too lost in metaphor. Suffice to say, the circuitous game of promoting one's blog in the blogosphere (without the proper armament) can often seem as difficult and unrewarding as a day-long chess match that ends in a draw. If you play your game right, however, that pawn can hit the big time. Ideally, the simple act of blogging in and of itself would attract enough traffic to please the author but there are cases in which more is better. Whether you are participating in AdSense for Bloggers and would like to see a spike in your profits, or you just want more comments on your posts, increasing hit-count is beneficial.

Toward that end, I spent my Labor Day snooping around the blogosphere. While I should have been eating potato salad and lounging by someone's pool, I was slaving over my laptop pulling together a bevy of accepted methods for growing the readership base of your blog. I hope you'll find them useful. In practice, the procedures fall into three basic categories involving settings, techniques, and actual marketing tricks. Some are very obvious and others, more subtle. It appears that many bloggers have found success with these solutions—I've tried a few and found that they do in fact increase traffic.

Blogger Application Settings

Blogger itself has an array of settings, many of which work to your advantage in this endeavor. This first grouping is quite simple and just requires that you sign in to your Blogger account and flip a few switches.

Set your blog to ping weblogs.com. Weblogs.com is a blog update notification service that many individuals and services use to track blog changes. When this setting is activated, Blogger will notify weblogs.com that you have updated your blog. That means your blog will be included in various "recently updated" lists on the web as well as other blog-related services.

Activate Your Navbar. I did this and watched my traffic go up on the very first day (and continue to climb). The Blogger Navbar replaced mandatory ads a few weeks ago. One of the features on the Navbar is a button called NextBlog—click it to visit the next Navbar-enabled blog. It turns out this couch-potato like way of flipping through blogs is very appealing. As a result, the next blog button gets a lot of attention. So turn your Navbar on and catch some of that wave.

Install Email This Post. News sites like The New York Times Online have had a feature like this for years, it allows people to simply forward an article to a friend via email. If you use Email This Post on your blog, people will be able to forward your posts to friends. This may not have an immediate impact on your site stats but it enables others to publicize your blog for you. That's good stuff.

Turn on Post Pages. If you're still only archiving by day, week, or month you are living in the past man. You've got to make sure you are publishing every post as its very own web page with Post Pages. That makes your entries way more link-able and more attractive to search engines. Links to your blog means traffic to your blog. This is an easy setting in Blogger.

Turn on your site feed. When people subscribe to your site feed in their newsreaders, it means they are definitely going to read your post. The folks who subscribe to site feeds are the type of people Malcolm Gladwell calls "mavens" in his book, The Tipping Point: How Little Things Can Make a Big Difference. Long story short: these people will help you get more traffic so turn on your site feed.

Add your blog to Blogger's listings. This is a really obvious one but at some point during the blog creation process there's a chance many of you initially thought "Oh, I'm not sure I want to be public just yet. I'll mark that as 'no.'" Go back in there and mark it "yes." When you add your blog to our listings then it shows up in Nextblog, Recently Updated, and other places. It's like opting-in to traffic. Do it.

Blogging Technique Suggestions

This part of the traffic-grabbing techniques is a little more persnickety and not as readily activated. The basic gist of this section of methods is "If you build it well they will come." You'll need to incorporate the other aspects of self-promotion, but it's true that writing a great blog goes a long way towards repeat visitors and word of ~~mouth~~ blog.

Write quality content and do it well. Jen Garrett demands that you use proper punctuation, capitalize letters when appropriate, and don't overuse the ellipsis. She's being a bit of a grammar bitch, but she has a point. If your "style" is bad writing, worse grammar, no punctuation, and an ugly design, that might be okay for a niche crowd. But the idea here is to get a big crowd so fix yourself up a bit, pull it together man, have some respect for your readers, and discover a style that shines brightly through good blogging.

Publish regular updates. Danah Boyd once told me that she intentionally wanted to lower the traffic to her blog and she found the easiest way to do it was to stop posting so frequently. (Danah is an odd one, that's why we love her.) The reverse of her experiment is also true: the more you blog, the more traffic you will get. You've got to think about it like watering a plant—do it every day and the plant will grow. Hopefully your blog is not like the plant in The Little Shop of Horrors. That would be bad.

Think of your audience. A good way to build an audience is to cultivate one. When you keep your audience in mind, you are focusing your writing. This helps you develop a stronger voice and is instrumental in creating the brand that is you as put forth through your blog. Again, this is more of an overarching, long-term technique for building traffic and won't have immediate results. Nevertheless, focus goes a long way toward repeat visitors.

Keep search engines in mind. Note that sometimes your "audience" is whoever stumbles into your site from a web search. Search is a great way to bring in new visitors and there are a few things you can do to make your blog more search engine friendly. Use post titles and blog page title tags along with your post page archiving. This will automatically give each of your post pages an intelligent name based on the title of your post. Also, try to be descriptive when you blog. A well crafted post about something very specific can end up very near the top results of a search. For example, a Google search for "Book Cover Design" features this blog post by the illustrious Jason Kottke complete with reader comments.

Keep your posts and paragraphs short. Note the brevity of the aforementioned Kottke post. People will come back daily to read your fresh new work but spare them the one thousand word diatribes. Strive for succinct posts that pump pertinent new information into the blogosphere and move on. Keep it short and sweet so visitors can pop in, read up, and click on. Think of you blog as a cumulative effect. This doesn't mean you should never practice some long form writing now and then, it's just something to keep in mind.

Marketing Action Items

The third and final group of promotional techniques are simple actions you can take to publicize your blog. This category is theoretically unlimited. You could build your own blimp and spell out your blogspot subdomain in twinkly holiday lights across the side, that sort of thing. Instead, I've limited these suggestions to more obvious, grounded tactics. (If you do got the blimp route, please: use helium, not hydrogen.)

Put your blog URL in your email signature. Whenever I see a blog url in an email signature, I always click on it to see who I'm dealing with. Especially if it's someone I've never met. Email gets forwarded all the time so even if you only send out a five notes a day to friends, the potential number of people clicking over to your blog is in the thousands. (That is of course completely theoretical, but you get my drift—it's worth it.) I can't give you specific instructions on how to edit your email client's signature because I don't know which one you use, but poke around. It's somewhere in the settings.

Sumbit your address to blog search sites and directories. People look for blog content at Technorati every day, are you on their list? You should be. Submit your blog's url to Technorati, Daypop, Blogdex, Popdex, and any other site of that ilk you come across. With the exception of Technorati, many of these sites are hobby or graduate student projects but they continue to gain visitors looking for interesting blogs to read, bookmark, and revisit. Not all of them have the power to crawl ever blog in existence so you can help them help you by dropping your url in the appropriate field.

Participate in meme games. A meme is an idea transmitted from person to person like a virus. If the flu was a blog, it would get crazy traffic. With all the sickness and disease analogies, blog induced memes are actually fun and can win you some extra traffic. How do they work? Basically a blogger will propose an idea like "Hey, let's post the first sentence of our favorite book!" and it will catch on like crazy with people linking to each other's submissions obsessively until the game dies down. A favorite meme for years was the Friday Five, if you're looking for something new, try The Daily Meme.

Advertise. If keyword advertising were affordable enough, I'd say go for it. For now, free is a good way to go. BlogSnob is a network of free, text-based blog advertisers that you can join right now. Host ads, place ads, it's all traffic. BlogSnob ads blend right into your site and are fully customizable. Bloggers who join the network can place free ads, while sometime in the near future real advertisers will have to dish out to get noticed. It pays to be a blogger.

Link to other blogs. This is a great way to get traffic. Here's what happens when you link to another blogger: she sees you in her referral logs, checks out your blog, and then very likely links back to you or at the very least makes a mental note to do so. Links are the currency of the blogosphere and it takes money to make money so start linking. Don't be shy folks, it's not actually cash. Not yet anyway—who knows what bloggers will come up with.

Install a blogroll. This is similar to linking. Well actually, it's the same but different. Blog posts eventually drop off the front page and get archived. A blogroll is more of personal statement: these are the bloggers I like. Or, this is the crowd I'd like to be associated with. It's a very simple yet effective social networking scheme and it has the same result as a simple link if not stronger: traffic! So if you don't have one yet, sign up for a blogroll and get that link-list going.

Be an active commenter. Try to leave comments on the blogs you read every day. This is in the same vein as linking. Leaving a comment on someone's post can make their day. Nothing beats getting those email notifications that whisper tacitly out at you from the screen, "You're thoughts have struck me dead in my tracks. I simply must acknowledge you and your greatness." (Or something to that effect.) Most comment systems also provide a way for you to leave a link back to your blog which begs a visit at the very least. So if you feel inspired, leave a comment or two in your blog travels. It behooves you.

Pitch your posts via email to other bloggers. This is a touchy technique and should be approached with caution. Blogger Eugene Volokh has published a short treatise on how best to pitch one's blog via email and it's filled with great tips and advice. Assuming your blog is actually worth pitching (of course it is), here are some tips from Volokh.

Pitch the post, not the blog.
Include the full text and your URL.
Submit only your best posts.

Print your blog URL on cards, stickers, etc. Basically, if you plan to have anything printed up, put your blog on it. These days, more and more business cards have blog addresses listed on them along with email and phone number. I wouldn't be surprised if I started seeing bumper stickers with blogspot addresses on them soon. There's a lot of traffic on the 101, that bumper in front of me is prime advertising real estate.

Speaking of the 101, maybe you've spotted the giant orange SUV with the license plate that says BLOGGER while driving south towards San Jose? No, that's not Evan Williams as you would suspect. It is, however, a nice piece of creative publicity. If there's one thing we've learned from my Labor Day investigation of blog promotion it's this: Don't be that guy with the BLOGGER license plate but think like him. That's the kind of take-charge technique you should open your game with. That's how you can turn your pawn into royalty.

I when to the Northen China Resturant around Katong Area and the food is really China Food i mean REALLY China Food. As been a chinese in Singapore you always try Cantonese food but why not change a bit explore all type of food from china where this resturant is cooked by the Northen Chinese people..

My father ieda was to go to the resturant and celebrate my maid and my gf birthday.. Until my dad found out my maid birthday was at 13 June & as for my gf was at 30 Aug.. Well, what a wonderful few days it has been. Since EA didn't take the time to respond (or maybe even read) our emails about various stats-server security holes, it clearly showed us how much they care. Therefore, we came to the conclusion that modifying 5 million accounts wouldn't be that big of a deal.

That being said, accounts with ids from 40,000,000 to 45,000,000 now have all of their weapons unlocked.

What will be next week? Perhaps we'll give everyone their Distinguished Service Medal, or maybe we'll elevate everyone to the rank of Sergeant Major.

The ball's in your court, EA. Time's up at the buzzer, how well will you play?

Anyway.. i got 2 sms in the morning from my gf and things seem to be feeling good after watching a couples of movies and i really happy for my big day interview at the ERNI My gf seldom call me and usually guys in or around asia will do all the calling and stuff like that.. that why it make a girl so special..

Today woke up at 9am after my gf called me but i had miss her call.. She have been act sick and took MC for 2 days untils Monday..

As she plan she wanted to bring her sister Yan Zi sister to Sentosa..

As we went to the Sentosa we took tons of photos which we borrow from Guo Jie a cute pink red canon 4 Meg camera..

Finally cut my blog short as i need to go to bed now.. I think i lost Yan Li 128MB Toshiba SD Card along the way back to her house. Eitther i lost it at the MRT due to i stuff my wallet and all the 5 SD Card in the same pocket, or AT the nearby ATM where i took some cash or the SPC Petrol Station..

I was so happy to meet my gf today as we know we both are quite busy
durings this time until her June Exams end at June 16 2005..

We bought a hairpin today for her is from japan got at hereen where the

I moved Janicek.com from Blogger to WordPress 1.x earlier this month because 1) I wanted my publishing software to be on my server versus Blogger’s server and 2) because I really liked the clean design of Michael Heilemann’s Kubrick template for WordPress.

Due to its popularity, Kubrick is now the default theme for WordPress 1.5. Owen Winkler created a great tool called Kubrickr that “lets you replace that giant blue blob at the top of your WordPress 1.5 blog with a nice photo from Flickr.”

I personally like having random photos that we’ve taken or are meaningful to us for our website’s mast.

Here’s how to create your own random header images for your Kubrick-themed weblog using Photoshop:

Download Kubrick 1.2.6 and unzip.

Open ‘Kubrick Theme.psd’ in Photoshop (I’ve done these steps using Photoshop 5.5 & 7 in Windows and Photoshop CS on my iBook).

You only want to concern yourself with the ‘Blue Header’ layer (should be the fourth layer from the top).

Highlight the ‘Blue Header’ layer and select it with the Magic Wand Tool.

Copy your selection (Ctrl+C, Command+C, Edit > Copy, what have you)

Open the photo(s) you want to use for your header. Note: your header image is going to be 720 x 182 pixels, your photo should be at least that.

Paste the copied ‘Blue Header’ layer onto your photo and change the opacity of your Blue Header to 50% so you can see your image in the background and position Blue Header to your liking.

Once you have your Blue Header positioned, change the opacity back to 100%.

Use the Magic Wand Tool to select the Blue Header layer. Now highlight the background layer in your layers palette.

Copy (Ctrl+C, Command+C or Edit > Copy) the background selection.

Open ‘kubrickheader.jpg’ (Kubrick v1.2.6/images) in Photoshop.

Paste your selection onto ‘kubrickheader.jpg’ and position accordingly.

Save your new header as whatever you like (I would name this one zebraheader.jpg). If you’re not going to have random images (new image upon page refresh), save it as kubrickheader.jpg and upload to yourwebsite.com/wp-content/themes/default/images

Congratulations. You have a custom header.

If you want rotating images, download Automatic’s image rotator and upload the script (rotator.php) to:
yourwebsite.com/wp-content/themes/default/images/rotator/ (create ‘rotator’ directory).

Upload all of your header images (see steps above) to your rotator folder. Rotator.php and your header images must be in the same folder.

Now to change your WordPress template:

For WordPress 1.5 login to your WordPress installation. Presentation > Theme Editor and click Header Template on the right.

Look about halfway down through the code and you will see: /images/kubrickheader.jpg

Change to: /images/rotate/rotate.php

That’s it!

It is a heavily guarded secret as to what the third and final film will contain. What we are sure is that Anakin makes the final jump from a Jedi Knight to Dark Lord of the Sith. Luke and Leia will be born and Supreme Chancellor Palpatine becomes Emporer. The Clone War has come to an end, the Republic has been transformed into the Galactic Empire. Obi Wan is tasked with capturing General Greivious and bringing him to justice. Anakin falls further under the spell of the Supreme Chancellor. We will see the planet Kashyyk, the homeworld of the Wookies. It is believed that Chewbacca, the character may make an appearance. As we saw in 'Phantom Menace', we see a young Greedo. This site wonders if we see a young Han Solo ? There will be at least one new world where Anakin Skywalker and Obi Wan duel in a lava planet. Nothings been mentioned of Alderaan or Coreillia.

Tray-Baked Artichokes with Almonds, Breadcrumbs and Herbs

Serves 4

Ingredients

8 medium-sized globe artichokes
1 lemon
2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
1 handful of whole almonds, finely chopped
2 handfuls of coarse breadcrumbs
1 handful of fresh mint, finely chopped
1 handful of fresh parsley, finely chopped
sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
extra virgin olive oil
2 wineglasses of white wine

This sort of veg dish is good for anything - from using as antipasti to serving with meat or fish

Method

To prepare the artichokes (see pictures opposite), simply trim 5cm/2 inches below and above the base of the choke. Now what you need to do is trim back your artichoke leaves one by one, clicking them off until you get to the lovely paler yellow and more tender leaves. Using a pointed teaspoon, insert it right into the centre of the artichoke flower and slowly turn it to remove the fluffy choke. Have a little peer in and try to remove most of the choke. Rub the artichoke with lemon to stop it discolouring. You'll get the hang of it when you do the rest. You'll be left with 8 whole trimmed artichokes.

Preheat the oven to 200°C/400°F/gas 6. Toss the garlic, almonds, breadcrumbs and herbs into a bowl, season, and loosen with a little olive oil. Scrunch together with your hands and stuff this mixture into the middle of each artichoke, really packing it in. You want to fit these snugly side by side in an appropriately-sized baking dish. Sprinkle any excess filling over the top, drizzle generously with extra virgin olive oil and pour in your wine. Rip off a big enough piece of greaseproof paper, wet and scrunch it under a tap, then tuck it over the artichokes and round the edges of the dish. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, then remove the greaseproof paper and bake for a final 10 minutes. Serve in the middle of the table with seafood or any white meat.

P/S: I can tell you if you make this meal will cost you a bomb, if you make it in singapore. BUT if you make this meal i will love to try it..

Cellophane Noodles - Also called bean threads, slippery noodles, or even bean vermicelli, cellophane noodles are made from mung bean starch. Before using, soak them in hot (not boiling) water. Cellophane noodles work well in soups and stir-fries, absorbing the flavor of the foods they are cooked with. When deep-fried fried they puff up and become quite crispy.

Egg Flour Noodles - Fresh or dried, you'll usually know these noodles by their yellow color. Made with eggs, wheat flour, and water, they come in a number of widths and shapes, from the thinner vermicelli to flat thicker noodles (Instant Ramen noodles are a type of egg flour noodle). Used in soups and stir-fries, they need to be boiled before using.

Tea flavored noodles, Rice sticks, Broad Noodles, and Rice Noodles

Rice Noodles - Made with rice flour and water, a large variety of rice noodles are available, from thin rice vermicelli to the thick broad flat noodles used in stir-fries and heartier soups. (The rice noodles in the first photo always remind me of shoelaces). There's some confusion over the use of the term "rice sticks." Commonly, this refers to the thin rice vermicelli, shown in the second photo below, however you'll sometimes find medium-sized and thicker flat rice noodles referred to as rice sticks as well.Rice noodles should be soaked in hot water for fifteen - twenty minutes before using. Medium sized rice noodles, called Banh Pho, are used to make Vietnam's popular Pho soup.

Rice Paper - Also made from rice flour and water, rice papers are available in either round or triangular form. The unique patterning on each paper comes from their being dried on bamboo mats in the sun. Available only in dried form, they are firm and must be softened in hot water before use. In Chinese cooking there is a trend towards using them instead of cellophane to make Paper Wrapped Chicken; in Vietnamese cuisine rice papers (Banh Trang ) are used to wrap spring rolls.

Wheat Flour Noodles - Made with wheat flour and water, they are available fresh or dried. As you can see in the photos below, the shape and thickness varies - the Broad Noodles are quite thick and flat, reminding me of coffee stir sticks, while the Tea Flavored Noodles are much thinner. The thinner varieties are often used in light soups, while the thicker ones work well in thicker soups and stir-fries. Boil before using.
